The extraordinarily beautiful pocket of wooded hills in this World Heritage site enclose 16 turquoise lakes that are connected by waterfalls and cascades. The mineral-rich waters carve through the rock, depositing tufa in continually changing formations. Wooden footbridges follow the rumbling water for an exhilaratingly damp 18km (11mi).

More Photos of Plitvice

The stunning Plitvice Lakes National Park lies in the Lika region of Croatia. The park is surrounded by the mountains Pljesevica, Mala Kapela, and Medve?ak, which are part of the Dinaric Alps. The 16 blue-green Plitvice Lakes, which are separated by natural dams of travertine, are situated on the Plitvice plateau.  The lakes are renowned for their distinctive colors, ranging from azure to green, grey or blue. The colors change constantly depending on the quantity of minerals or organisms in the water and the angle of sunlight.

To do and see

The main attraction is obviously the hiking and walking in the area. Keep in mind that swimming is not allowed anywhere in the park. Tip: If you arrive at the same time as a big group, walk one of the very well established routes in reverse. You'll probably be walking uphill for most of the trek, but you'll probably not see another person for a few hours.

Plitvice Lakes National Park is perhaps the most beautiful natural wonder in Croatia. In addition to the numerous waterfalls, a bevy of wildlife can be seen, including fish, frogs and a variety of bird species. Special attractions at Plitvice include the Veliki Splat, a 100 foot waterfall surrounded by nearby boulders to which tourists have access. There is also a large waterfall complex that can be access via a cave in the surrounding rock face.

Lovely Croatian women

Women from Croatia are independent, also when they go on men hunting. They dress very nice and sexy. They always dress very well but when they want to conquer a man they dress very exuberant, wear high killer heels and have a desirous look in their eyes.

If you walk into a girl who is on man hunting and she's interested in you, you don't have a choice anymore. she will approach you and she will be outstanding attractive. You cant say no anymore and you do need to surrender. For most men this is not a problem but when you're not single you'll have a problem. My advice is to tell right away that you're not a single. For the men who are a bachelor don't worry she will lead you through the conversations.
